As we enter the summer of 2021 there is an element of doubt concerning the way Rotary can continue to facilitate the connections between people that Rotary members valued previously. Although the "hands looking out into space" principle is certainly a an integral part of our routine There's no doubt the faith of Rotary has been growing and more members are making acquaintances in person. Rotary is indeed changing. However, there is a certain amount of uncertainty that will continue to grow as we progress through summer 2021. It is yet to be determined if the human connections that Rotary members cherished in the past will continue. It is clear, however that the hand-to-face ritual is going to remain the norm for Rotary. Rotary is evolving. Rotary has evolved. In order to keep our online business meetings, we've reintroduced service as well as social gatherings in a face-to-face setting. To create an exciting new future, we've seized the new possibilities and merged these with our most successful pre-pandemic behaviors. We are aware that volunteering with the help of Rotary will create lasting bonds based upon the experience shared of volunteering time to serve the community gain. The imagination and creativity of our members when it comes to finding solutions to the most difficult challenges is incredible and I am so very grateful that the chance to become a member of Rotary was offered to me back in 2002.
